BIOGRAPHY
Marisol Correa es una actriz y comediante colombiana de teatro y televisión, nacida en la ciudad de Bogotá, reconocida por producciones como Dejémonos de vainas, quieta margarita, destinos cruzados entre otras, e igualmente reconocida por funciones teatrales como “Las Mujeres son de Venus y Los Hombres son de Madre”, “Milagros de Bergamota”, among other.

She made her debut at an early age on Colombian television after a director found her in the hallway of Inravisión and gave her the opportunity for her first role. However, she had previously participated as an extra in many programs because her father Samuel Correa was a technician at Inravisión and took her to the set while he worked since he had nowhere to leave her after school. Thanks to his charisma and talent, he participated in several successful national productions.
Marisol Correa studied Psychology at the Santo Tomás de Aquino University. I also studied voice at the Teatro Libre of Bogotá, body expression at the Escuela del Distrito, body workshop at the Teatro La Baranda and “clown” at the Teatro Popular de Bogotá (TPB). She is a graduate of the first class of the acting laboratory of the National University of Colombia, she has a postgraduate degree in Film and Television from the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University.
In 2000 Marisol decided to move away from television for a bit and migrate to Miami, where she settled and continued working as a programming distributor for Centauro Vista by filmmaker Gustavo Nieto, also participating in radio programs for Caracol 1260 AM and also continuing to participate in theater with independent groups and organizations that she herself formed with directors and friends such as “TIM” (Miami International Theater), “Arte y Parte”, “Teatro Para Todos”, “El Bar de Teatro para Todos”, “ Catarsis” and “Teatro Trail”, on television he is linked with local channels América TeVe and La Mega channel 22, he also created “CACHE” Hispanic Cultural and Educational Art Center at Miami Dade College, North Campus to promote the arts.

Marisol Correa is the first Colombian woman to create and direct a theater in the United States, she currently serves as the director of the Trail Theater and is one of the most recognized cultural managers in Miami, she received “The Keys to the City of Miami” for economically reactivating the 8th Avenue area through theater, presented by Mayor Manuel (Manny) Díaz.
