Maru Yamayusa is a Colombian television, theater and film actress, born in the city of Bogotá on November 21, 1947, she is of Boyacense (Tuta) origin. Especially recognized for her participation in the series “Let's leave Vainas”.

She studied acting at the National School of Dramatic Art, her big opportunity on television came when the main actress of “Los de al lado” did not show up, so they had her improvise. The performance was so good that the episode in which he participated marked the highest audience rating in the history of the program.

Much of his work is dedicated to Benjumea Yamayusa Family Foundation, which is responsible for presenting guidance works for young people on addictions. His sister, the producer Liz Yamayusa, was married to the famous actor Carlos Benjumea, with whom Luis Eduardo Benjumea had two children and Paola Benjumea, who have also dedicated themselves to the artistic world.
