The Indio Venancio de Culture House Puerto Carreño-Vichada, is a space of special cultural interest in the municipality and the department; It is considered the cradle of musical art in the region since, thanks to it, llanera music has been preserved and disseminated over the years.

The Cultural House was founded in 1986 in order to strengthen the cultural identity of the department through the development and promotion of artistic activity; and his name was given to him in honor of “Indio Venancio” who is considered one of the founders of Puerto Carreño.

This place has become the home of llanera music, providing free teaching of the typical instruments of the eastern plains region to hundreds of boys, girls and young people; who in turn become guardians and promoters of the sounds and cultural expressions of the llanera culture, a culture that permeates Colombia and Venezuela.

Every day the sounds of: The harp, the four, the maracas, the bandola, the bass and Guitar; as well as the tapping of the Joropo They brighten the day of locals and tourists in this temple of culture.

The students of this cultural school have represented Colombia in various international events in countries such as: Ireland, Paraguay, Mexico, Portugal and Argentina, taking with them the cultural wealth that the region has to various corners of the world.

This place has also become the headquarters and participates in major cultural events in the region such as: Festival of the ran llanero and the Golden Pomfret Children's Festival.
