The replica of the Canaletas Fountain is located in the small square in front of the Caribbean Naval Museum, together with Sculpture of the Toute Petite, in the historic center of the heroic city.
The fountain was a gift to the city of Cartagena de Indias carried out by Barcelona City Council and the Barcelona Water Society in July 1999, in memory of the historical flow of water in the heroic city and its sewer circuit.
The fountain is representative in Barcelona – Spain due to two events: A legend that says that “he or she who drinks from the fountain will return to Barcelona” and the fact that the “cules” (fan club of the Barcelona team) He uses it as a venue for his team's triumphs, in Barcelona the fountain is located in the section of La Rambla called Rambla de Canaletas, hence its name.
