History of the Plaza de Santa Teresa
Despite being one of the emblematic squares of Cartagena, it does not have a great history, because this small square is not a colonial square, since it was established after the restructuring of the Convent of Santa Teresa which was founded in 1609 for a group of Carmelite nuns from Pamplona by Doña Maria Barros y Montalvo.

The square is located in cra2, in the historic center of La Heroica and has a privileged location as it meets the Baluarte San Francisco Javier and the square of Caribbean Naval Museum in which the Sculpture of the Toute Petite (Little One) by Sophia Vari and Replica of the gutter fountain.
The Plaza is currently one of the most important entrances to the historic center of Cartagena, where an open-air restaurant is currently located that is set to music at night.
