Bonito Salpicón Recipe
Bonito salpicón is a very popular dish on the coast of Colombia, there are different fish with which it is usually prepared, but bonito is the fish with which it is most commonly made, here you will learn how to prepare bonito salpicón step by step and quickly and easily.
Ingredients
- 1 pound bonito (tuna)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 ripe tomato
- 1 chive wedge
- 1 Sweet pepper
- 1 trickle of vinegar
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- salt (al gusto)
- pepper (al gusto)
Step by step preparation
- First, you proceed to prepare the ingredients, finely chopping those that require it, such as the chives, chili and garlic.
- Then season the fish with lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper to taste, and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Then it is placed on the fire with water at a level that covers it for around 6 minutes.
- When this time has passed, take it out and proceed to crumble it.
- Separately, prepare a stew with the tomato, chives, sweet chili and oil, then add the vinegar, salt and pepper to taste.
- The fish and stew are mixed well until they are just right.
- Traditionally, bonito salpicón is usually served accompanied by White rice.
