Zambrano flag:
The Zambrano Flag is made up of the colors white and red, the first goes in the background and the second adorns the entire edge.
White represents hospitality, friendship, love for our fellow human beings, and most of all the peace that we all desire and that has been the banner of the Zambraneros.
Red represents the culture and all the folklore, and joy of the Zambranero people. This color represents the love they feel for others, two colors that came together to declare the peace and love that the Zambraneros feel for all humanity.
This flag was managed by the students of the Cooperative School and Professor Cleodomiro Valberde. It was created by teacher Daniel Vergara Guerra in 1988.
Shield of Zambrano:
The Zambrano Shield was designed based on the realism of the culture, wealth, customs and, very particularly, the knowledge of its artists. At the top it presents an emblem which bears the name of the Municipality and the date it was founded. It is divided into three parts.
The upper part represents the majestic Magdalena River and in it, the Zambranero man, working in one of its important sources of its economy, fishing. The central part is a white sash with the motto “Strength and Will”, the first because the Zambranero has been strong in the face of any decision or calamity and the second because he has always had an interest in work and progress.
The lower part presents the Zambranero peasant with the vegetal riches of the soil, such as tobacco and corn. His armor is presented in clay, since this basic material is used by artisans and particularly by their ancestors; At the top of the margin there are two joined bodies, signifying the union that has always characterized them. The author of the Shield was the teacher Daniel Vergara Guerra, created in 1988.
