Biography
Álvaro San Félix (Carlos Benavides Vega) was a poet, playwright, and actor of theater, television, and radio drama, born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, on March 9, 1931.
During the 1950s, he was part of the poetry group “Club 7”, which gained great notoriety at the time. However, two members left the group after learning of the homosexuality of Carlos Benavides and David Ledesma Vásquez. His career as a playwright began in 1962.

In Colombia, he worked in radio drama for several years, mainly with Cadena Caracol and H.J.C.K. He also participated in various Colombian television productions and theatrical plays.
