Biography
Katherine Vélez Huertas is a Colombian actress of film, theater, and television, born in Bogotá on April 4, 1971. She is recognized for her roles in productions such as Hasta que la Plata Nos Separe, El Capo, and Café con Aroma de Mujer, among others.
She began her acting career at the age of 23, despite already having an established career in another profession. Thanks to the “Ley del Actor” approved by the Colombian Congress, she graduated in 2019 as a Master in Dramatic Arts from the Universidad de Antioquia, in alliance with the Academia de Artes Guerrero in Medellín.

Katherine Vélez is married to actor Ernesto Benjumea, with whom she worked in the 2006 telenovela Hasta que la Plata Nos Separe.
Her career reflects both versatility and dedication, making her one of the most respected actresses in Colombian entertainment.
