Queso Frito: Fried Colombian Cheese
Queso Frito (Fried Cheese) is a straightforward and tasty recipe that requires minimal preparation. It is commonly eaten as a quick snack or used as a simple side dish to accompany other everyday foods like patacones (fried green plantains) or plain white rice.
The process takes just 10 minutes and relies on using a firm, salty cheese that can withstand the heat of the frying pan without melting away completely. This ensures the cheese develops a satisfying, toasted exterior.
