- Cornmeal (dough for arepas)

Step by step preparation
- The first thing is to make the dough, in a container add the corn flour, then add the water and salt; You begin to mix and knead until you have a consistent dough. You mold this dough into balls, then flatten them to give it the shape of arepas. (recommendation: to prepare the arepas it is advisable to find a plastic bag and add a little oil on top so that it does not stick and there you prepare the arepas).
- Once you have all the arepas formed, place them to fry in very hot oil.
- When you notice that the arepa is golden brown or that its crust is inflated, take it out and with a knife make an incision or cut on one of its edges.
- You take the egg, remove a little piece of the shell or pour the egg into a container with a point, then pour it into the arepa through the cut you made, add a little salt and cover the cut with a little raw dough. and fry the arepa again until the egg is well cooked.
