Ingredients
- 1.5 kilograms of corn flour
- 10 panels
- 10 grams cinnamon
- 10 grams of cloves
- 10 liters of water
Step by step preparation
- The first thing you should do is place a pot with about 5 liters of water on the fire, add 8 panelas, cloves and cinnamon. Let it boil.
- Separately, place the corn flour in about 3 liters of water, mix it very well so that all the lumps are dissolved, once it is well dissolved, add this mixture to the panela water that is boiling, and stir very well, the mixture should start to thicken, so you must add more water and stir very well and constantly so that it does not stick; You should stir until it starts to boil, when it starts to do so, let it cook for about 20 minutes.
- When 20 minutes have passed, remove it from the heat and let it cool.
- If you wish, you can add guarapo to make it ferment faster, or you can leave it fermenting for two or three days.
- The next day or depending on the time you have decided to leave it fermenting, proceed to blend the mixture. If it is very thick, you can add more water. Once you have blended it, proceed to strain it and test if it is sweet enough. If you notice that it is lacking, you can Add the other two panels.
- Finally, preserve it in a thermos or container where you have decided to bottle it to enjoy it whenever you want. (if you want it to ferment much more you can leave it at room temperature, if on the other hand you don't want this to happen you can store it in the refrigerator) and that's it.
