Enyucado Recipe

Enyucado is a delicious sweet and salty cake made from cassava. This cake is widely consumed on the coast of Colombia and can be served either as a side dish or as a dessert. Learn in this simple recipe how to make yucado step by step and quickly and easily.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds of cassava
  • ½ pound of sugar
  • ½ pound of Coastal cheese
  • ½ Cup of coconut milk
  • ½ coconut cup
  • 1 tablespoon anise seeds
  • ½ teaspoon anise essence
  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • ½ cup of milk cream

Step by step preparation
 

  • The first thing you should do is prepare the ingredients, the cassava is washed well, then peeled and grated.
  • Then the grated cassava is mixed with the rest of the ingredients in the following order: first the sugar, then the previously grated Costeño cheese, the coconut milk, then the grated coconut, then the anise seeds, the anise essence, the butter and finally the milk cream.
  • Then mix everything very well until you have a soft dough, let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • Then proceed to pour the mixture into a previously buttered and floured mold and place it in the oven, previously preheated to 300° F for 30 minutes.
  • And that's it, it is taken out of the oven and cut into portions.
