Biography
María Eugenia Parra was a Colombian film and television actress, born in Chiquinquirá, Boyacá, on November 21, 1962. She was recognized for productions such as La Pantera, Tabú, Asunción, Solo una Mujer, among others.
She studied theater and, after participating in several plays in Bogotá, transitioned to television, where she stood out in productions like Asunción and La Pantera, gaining national recognition. However, personal difficulties led her to step away from acting for a period, before returning years later to participate in various series.

Over time, it became known that the pressures of fame caused mental health struggles that forced her to distance herself from the media.
María Eugenia Parra passed away on November 24, 2020. The causes of her death remain unknown. She is remembered for her talent and the mark she left on Colombian television and cinema.
