Ingredients
  

  • 8 liters of water
  • 2 pounds of rice washed
  • 4 pounds of sugar
  • ¼ pound wheat flour
  • 4 cinammon sticks
  • 6 cloves

Step by step preparation
 

  • You must prepare a syrup, taking 1 liter of water and sugar.
  • On the other hand, you should cook the rice in the other 7 liters of water for 30 minutes.
  • After this time you will proceed to remove it from the heat, once it has cooled, you must strain it (you must retain the water), then pass it through a sieve. Then you will add the cloves, cinnamon, syrup and wheat flour to the rice water.
  • Cook over low heat for 30 minutes, stirring preferably with a wooden spoon.
  • Then let it cool and serve it at room temperature or with crushed ice.
  • This recipe is to consume the Masato after preparation if desired, but it can be fermented for several days, this will depend on each person's taste.
