Medals for Colombia in the Swimming Finale of the Santa Fe 2026 South American Games

Colombian swimmers concluded their participation in the XIII South American Games Santa Fe 2026. Samantha Baños, Sirena Rowe, and Juan Manuel Morales added two silver medals and one bronze on the final day of competitive swimming.

Samantha Baños was crowned South American runner-up in the 200m butterfly event with a time of 2:14.28. Gold went to Brazil’s María De Carvalho at 2:12.61, while Peru’s Yasmin Silva completed the podium at 2:14.84.

In the sprint event, Sirena Rowe claimed the silver medal in the 50m freestyle after stopping the clock at 25.20. The competition was led by Venezuela’s Lyon Lismar at 25.13, followed by Brazil’s Luanna Nunes, who rounded out the medalists at 25.36.

Juan Manuel Morales contributed the bronze medal for the national delegation in the 400m freestyle with a time of 3:50.39. The podium in this category was dominated by Brazil, with gold going to Stephan Steverink (3:46.07) and silver to Guilherme Da Costa (3:48.57).

These three medals mark the official conclusion of competitive swimming events for Colombia in the XIII South American Games. The podium finishes achieved against regional competitors consolidate the presence of national athletes on the continental aquatic medal table.
