Plátano Cocido (Boiled Green Plantains)

Ingredients
- 2 Green plantains
- 3 cups Water
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Prep the plantains: The very first step is to carefully peel the green plantains, removing the thick outer skin, and then cut them in half crosswise.
- Boil the water: Place a pot on the stove with enough water to completely cover the plantains (approximately 3 cups). Bring the water to a rolling boil.
- Cook and season: Once the water is boiling, carefully add the halved plantains to the pot along with salt to your liking. Let them cook steadily for about 35 to 40 minutes.
- Drain and serve: Once the plantains are completely soft and well-cooked, remove them from the heat and drain the water. Serve them immediately while hot alongside suero, meats, stews, or any other recipe!
