Cat Head Soup Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 3 green bananas
  • 2 pounds yam
  • 1 eggplant
  • ¼ pound pumpkin
  • 2 small head onions
  • 5 sweet chili peppers
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 Lemons
  • 8 cups of water
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • annatto or color
  • Salt (al gusto)

Step by step preparation
 

  • First of all, prepare the cat heads and reserve them for when you are cooking the soup. (Click here to see the recipe for how to make cat head).
  • Once you have reserved the cat heads, continue cooking the yam in a pot with water. When it is soft, add the finely chopped eggplant, pumpkin, onions, chili peppers and garlic to the broth; then add the lemon juice and seasonings. Let everything cook for 10 more minutes.
  • Once the 10 minutes have passed, lower the pot from the heat and add the cat heads to the soup, stirring gently so that they do not fall apart since they are a bit delicate.
  • And that's it, we proceed to serve the soup; You can accompany it with roast meat or fried fish such as fried mojarras.
