Banana Cake Recipe

Banana cake is a dish made from ripe bananas. This delicious dessert is very popular in the Colombian Caribbean. Here you will learn how to prepare banana cake step by step and quickly and easily.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 very ripe bananas
  • Sugar cup
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup melted butter or margarine
  • 3 Cups of Flour
  • 3 heaping teaspoons of baking powder, or baking soda
  • Salt (1 tsp)

Step by step preparation
 

  • First, peel the bananas carefully, place them in a container and mash them with the help of a fork, it doesn't matter if it is not homogeneous.
  • Sugar and butter are added to the puree and mixed.
  • Apart from sifting the flour with baking powder or baking soda and adding it to the previous mixture, beat everything, if you see that you need it you can add a little more.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Then proceed to butter and flour the molds in which you will make the cake.
  • The mixture is poured into the molds about two-thirds of the total capacity of the mold. (it is not recommended to fill the molds to the top because it rises and they can burn)
  • Place the molds in the oven and leave them for around 15 to 20 minutes. If the mold is very large, you can leave them for about 25 or 30 minutes. One way to test if they are ready is to plunge a knife into the cake if it comes out. clean is that they are ready. (Do not open the oven before at least 20 minutes have passed because the cake will fall)
  • Take them out of the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before removing them from the mold to prevent them from falling apart.

  • During preparation you can add other ingredients if you wish, such as: vanilla essence, raisins, half a cup of rum, half a cup of kumis or sour milk.
  • Bananas have benefits such as carbohydrates, fiber, potassium, vitamin A, C and E.
  • The potassium present in banana helps prevent cramps.
