Biography
Waldo Urrego is a Colombian theater, film, and television actor, born in Bogotá on July 22, 1945. He is recognized for productions such as Amar y Vivir, La Mujer del Presidente, among many others.
Waldo spent his childhood and part of his youth in Quibdó, a city he deeply loves. He also lived in Manizales, Chaparral, and Puerto Berrío, experiences that helped him gain a broader understanding of the country. When he moved to Bogotá, he began his theater career; at 17, he participated in Bernardo Romero’s teleteatro, where his acting talent earned him great praise from the press.

He later transitioned to television, where he has played a wide variety of roles. His versatility has allowed him to perform both comedy and drama. Although he has delivered several notable comedic performances, he is most remembered for his portrayals of villains.
Urrego was married to actress Chela del Río, from whom he separated in the 1970s.
