Gumarra Boiled Recipe
The Hervido de Gumarra is a sancocho (soup) similar to that of depressed Creole chicken, but with a very plains flavor, it is one of the most appreciated soups in the eastern plains. Learn here how to make Boiled Gumarra quickly and easily.
Ingredients
- 14 cups of water
- 1 Gumarra (taparuca hen)
- 4 Topocho bananas (green)
- 1 pound of cassava (peeled and split)
- 1 pound of ahuyama (cut into pieces)
- 3 long onion stalks
- 4 coriander leaves
Step by step preparation
- The first thing you do is prepare the ingredients very well, starting with the gumarra (chicken), after depressing it and cleaning it very well, it is cooked with the onion and seasonings for 1 hour.
- When it begins to soften, add the bananas previously peeled and cut into pieces and let it boil for 20 minutes.
- Then proceed with the addition of the ahuyama and cassava previously peeled and cut into pieces, allowing them to cook for 20 minutes over low heat.
- Then sprinkle the cilantro, leave it on low heat, covered, and keep it for 10 minutes.
- And that's it, you can now enjoy this delicious recipe, traditionally it is usually accompanied with ajicero de leche, White rice dry and charapas.
