Biography
Dora Cadavid was a Colombian actress and singer, born in Medellín on November 23, 1937. She was known for telenovelas such as Yo Soy Betty, la Fea, Café con aroma de mujer, among others.

Dora Cadavid began her career as an announcer, presenter, and host at Radio Santander de Bucaramanga. She initially started by reciting poetry, but thanks to her talent she became a radio announcer and also participated in several radio dramas. Later, she moved to Bogotá, where she began her acting career.
She had a short musical career in which she recorded two albums. In 1958, she recorded her first album with the record label Sonolux. During her stay in Mexico, where she moved to study theater, she recorded her second album with musicologist Tongi Cambell.
She was married to Ricardo Valenzuela, a Chilean national, who passed away. With him, she had a son, Ricardo Francisco Valenzuela Cadavid, also known as Moisés Cadavid, who also pursued acting and passed away in 2012. Later, she married José Luis Córdova, who died in 1993. She was the aunt of actresses María Cecilia Botero, Ana Cristina Botero, Hilda Botero, and Óscar Botero.

In her later years, she chose to live in a nursing home. She passed away at the Shaio Clinic in Bogotá, surrounded by her family, on January 31, 2022, at the age of 84, due to respiratory problems.
